The light went out of our lives when Rachel died unexpectedly on 21st October 2005, two days after her 22nd birthday. She loved the colour purple and at the end of the service, her parents, Jane and Peter, her brother Kieren, her partner Justin and his family, her grandmother, cousins, godparents, teachers and nurses released 22 purple balloons into the night sky. Rachel in Hebrew means 'Gift from God'. We guess he wanted her back. We miss her terribly. Please light a purple candle for Rachel today.
